“Where words fail, music speaks”
- Hans Christian Andersen
I am an accredited music therapist who is passionate about using music to meet needs, bring joy, and defy expectations. I am motivated by a desire to see the smile a song can bring and experience strengthened relationships through collaborative music making. My clinical experience includes working in medical settings (NICU, Oncology, Burns, Teens, Eating Disorders, Outpatient), long-term care, schools, and private practice. Clients of mine have ranged from in-utero to palliative care and from medical settings to at-home environments. I have received certifications in NICU-MT from Florida State University and Neurologic Music Therapy from the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy. I had the pleasure of piloting a music therapy program at Ronald McDonald House BC and am part of a catalyst team of music therapists who established 3 music therapy programs in NICUs in Vancouver, BC.

Music Therapy Approach
I approach music therapy with a belief that music is a therapeutic medium capable of reaching non-musical goals that can assist in the development, wellness, & healing process. I believe that every person has immeasurable value and various strengths that can be accentuated and strengthened through the use of music therapy. With a combination of theory, curiosity, and heart, I trust that music can be used as a vehicle for self-development, self-expression, self-realization, communication, and physical wellness. Not only is music therapy a science, it is also an art to which I apply intentionality, self-examination, and excellence. I use a strengths-based approach in which I aim to enhance the resilience of clients, to empathize with clients, and to provide clients with meaningful moments in which they can flourish.
